Overspeeding is the greatest concern on roads nowadays . Young guys on powerful bikes are whizzing and weaving through traffic mindless of density . They compete with the racing autos and the irresponsible government bus drivers. Auto drivers are totally incorrigibly rowdistic and the government bus drivers are unrepentant in the event of an accident . But the youngsters caught under the wheels of the poorly maintained buses are the victims .These youth also endanger the lives of small schoolgoing children , pregnant women and frail senior citizens. They end up as temporary liabilities on their families in the case of minor falls or totally incapacitated for life in major accidents.The dreams of their parents are shattered and they feel cheated of everything .Time and money spent becomes a waste .

There are many ways to bring this speeding madness under control . Traffic rules should be made a part of the curriculum and a section of general knowledge , in these times of dedicated eight track roads and high speed traffic.Issuing of licences should become more transparent and the driver should be made to imbibe profound civil sense. Straightforward policing is a must.Policing must be free of political and peer pressures . Heavy fines should be levied . Mandatory seizing of vehicles and impounding of seized vehicles for a minimum period of atlest 15 days can be enforced .Vehicles should be noted down in a centralised system and the third offence should lead to confiscation . The parents also should be made collaterally responsible to damage of life and property . If a life is lost , it should also amount to culpable homicide . Jail terms should be imposed mercilessly. License can be cancelled after the third repeated offence.Bringing about public awareness is the responsibility of the government . Enforcing rule and regulations is the dominion of the transport department.

This mass of youth are also used for politics . they are enticed to performall nefarious activities by bribe and booze.


Alcoholism is ruinous to the self ,state and the family.Decent families have been pushed into penuryand have come to the streets. Some state economies are run with the tax money from the liquor trade.Liquor barons are the only lot who are benefited by selling liquor. These so called liquor barons and celebrities are fattening their coffers with this money.Their charity starts and ends with fast cars , voluptuous women and luxury jets.The politicians are fed by these socialites and the people are fed up with the politicians .It does not hold water to say that this money is only used for other developmental activities in the state . One section of the society cannot be ruined for the benefit of the other part .

The impelling urgency should be felt . We cannot turn a blind eye to the fast approaching social cataclysm. Well meaning politicians should discourage their followers from drinking . Massive campaigns, rallies and marathons highlighting the ill effects of drinking should be organised . All ngos should be made to involve themselves in anti liquor campaigns . People from high social profiles should be called in to save the youth. Youngsters should be goaded to follow higher levels of relaxation .Moral policing to discourage youngsters against drinking should be taken up.Media advantage to the liquor industry should be banned totally. Liquor vending outlets should be strict about their rights of admission against youth . Home is the place everybody feels secure.That is where the parents should be urged to be alert in noticing behavioural changes in teen age children .
